Message from the Principal

Welcome to Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA)! PAFA is an arts integrated school and has been recognized by the State of Florida as an Arts Model School for several years. We focus on the whole child through our arts program and our curriculum. Our students are given the opportunity to develop their talent and skills in the following areas: Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music, Strings, and PE. Students in upper elementary grade levels select their major/minor in areas of their interest and skill level. PAFA produces several shows each year for the school and community. We also provide engaging and challenging instruction following the district's scope and sequence. As principal, it is my goal that all students have a great experience here at Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts! I am confident all families will love our school and all we have to offer! Contact us if you have questions or would like to schedule a tour.

Testimonials

“I love Poinciana Academy of Fine Arts because it has so much to offer. There’s a lot of activities to do here. You can do lessons like drawing, music, or drama. When I think about artwork, it helps me do math or when I’m taking tests, it helps me calm down.” -Jahmir, Student

“I’ve been in dance since second grade, and I love Ms. Morin. She's really nice to us. I love performing at shows. I know that with Ms. Morin, I can count on her and she's really supportive and helpful.” -Abrianna, Student

“Along with great arts programs, we do have very passionate teachers that want to teach the kids. We have a lot of teachers here that have been here many years and I think this is a great environment for students to be. It's very important that from an early age, kids understand that theater, music, drama, and even art is all collaborative. We have to work together in order to create a wonderful product." -Yinelly Pastrana, Drama Teacher

“As someone who graduated from this school, they make sure you work so hard to achieve your dreams. If you're ready to do music, singing, dancing, or even art, they help you say, "hey, let's go do this.” -Lily Corbray, Alumna

“I would recommend any parent sending their child to PAFA because we are a very family-oriented school. We are not just a school, we are a learning institution, and we always incorporate the arts through Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies. Children are really able to get a full view of life, not everyone is exposed to all of the extra activities out there and at PAFA, we try our best to incorporate the Arts so they’re exposed in every area.” -Lorna Rampersad, Teacher
